Watch the latest happenings from last week in the city of Pune! Summers have come and with it come the news of dry garbage burning in Pune city. We had previously shown the garbage thrown roadside in Wagholi, Kharadi & Keshav Nagar areas. Garbage was being burned openly in these areas and no action was being taken. In the last week there have been garbage burning at Dehu road garbage depot and people living around are facing problems due to that.

PMC has issued it's draft budget which is around ₹850 Crore. From this amount ₹500 Crore have been allotted to supply the basic needs in the newly included villages in PMC. Ministry of Defense has given it's 13 Acre land parcel to Pune International airport for cargo airline operations. This will expand the airport area and also it gives a sign that construction of a new airport might be delayed.

More than 400 residents have come forward to protest against the civic body for not getting basic needs like water supply, garbage collection, sewage treatment, etc. Maintenance work in Ravet pumping center has created water supply issues in PCMC area. High rise properties are suffering the most as they do not get enough pressure to pump water from ground level.

Rajiv Gandhi zoological park is re-opening from the third week of the month of March 2022. People are facing issues due to roadside digging on new roads immediately after carpeting work. Residents in Kharadi and Viman Nagar have logged complaint against this.
