Kharadi Shivane Road is pending for a long time. In 2012, it was proposed that 17.1 km from Kharadi to Shivane would be built along the river. But despite all the promises and efforts, this road has not been completed till date. The main reason that is being told behind the non-construction of Kharadi - Shivne Road is that the government entities have been unable to acquire the land required to build this road.
And this is the reason that for the development of many roads like these, PMC has made an intention to hand over the responsibility to private players.
For this PMC has introduced the PPP model, that is, Public Private Partnership. In which private players will have to spend out of their pocket and later the corporation will give them credit notes. So that in future it can be used while making charges and payments to corporations.
The most awaited riverside road from Kharadi to Shivane is stuck due to land acquisition! Watch a detailed video on when the project was proposed, how it got delayed and what is the hope for future?
