Pune is on the brink of embracing an innovative transportation solution with the imminent launch of the SkyBus system, tailored to revolutionise last-mile connectivity within the bustling Hinjawadi IT park. This innovative feeder mode, envisioned to complement the city's existing Metro network, is poised to offer enhanced accessibility and convenience to thousands of daily commuters. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra has confirmed that the SkyBus project has secured all requisite approvals and is primed for inauguration, heralding a new era of seamless transit between Metro stations and individual IT firms, thereby facilitating a direct and hassle-free commute for professionals in the area.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the city's ambitious plans to bolster its public transport infrastructure, with the Pune Metro network expected to span a total of 54 kilometres across multiple lines. Notably, the ongoing Hinjawadi-Civil Court Metro Line 3 project, managed by Tata Projects, is progressing steadily and is slated for completion within the next year.
