Pune residents in Nagar Road areas like Lohegaon, Wadgaon Sheri, Dhanori, and Yerawada can expect some relief as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to roll back its recently revised water supply schedule. The civic body had made changes after commissioning two new overhead tanks to boost water pressure. While the pressure did improve, the new timings particularly late morning supply caused significant inconvenience for many households. Former corporators and local residents raised concerns, urging PMC to reconsider the timing, especially since early morning water access is critical for daily routines.
Responding to the backlash, PMC officials confirmed that the revised schedule has been temporarily withdrawn. Technical teams are now working on resolving flow-related glitches and improving valve operations to stabilize distribution. Areas like Somnath Nagar and Lohegaon Road were among the worst affected by the shift. To further enhance supply in the region, the civic administration also plans to commission a third overhead tank, following the two already made operational in Sanjay Park and Kalwad. For now, residents will receive water as per the original schedule, until further improvements are implemented.
