PMC issued notice to construction sites Action on Waste Burning
PMC has initiated actions against individuals violating construction site regulations and engaging in waste burning.
In response, the Civic Body has established a team of 15 individuals tasked with ensuring that construction sites are in compliance with instructions aimed at effectively reducing air pollution.
Construction work on sites found in violation of instructions will be halted until all prescribed measures are implemented. As a result, PMC Squads have issued notices to 6 construction sites instructing them to adhere to the prescribed norms.
PMC has additionally instructed the Solid Waste Management Department to escalate efforts against the burning and dumping of garbage. To facilitate this, they are required to prepare a daily report.
Despite taking measures against garbage burning, PMC continues to receive complaints about waste burning. In response, PMC has instructed Sanitary Inspectors to intensify surveillance in their respective areas and take immediate on the spot action.
