The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has launched a novel initiative within its municipal limits, offering property owners a Unique Property Identification Code (UPIC). This code grants property owners access to a wide array of property-related information and government services, simplifying processes and enhancing convenience. Additionally, the municipal body is developing a secure Property Locker system, akin to the digital locker facility, allowing property owners to safely upload and access property-related documents from anywhere.
Simultaneously, the corporation is undertaking an extensive property survey to identify new properties, changes, and additional constructions within its jurisdiction. This survey is not only a prerequisite for eligibility to receive assistance from the 15th Finance Commission but also serves the purpose of identifying properties with long-overdue tax payments, which will bolster the municipality's revenue. The UPIC and Property Locker initiatives aim to streamline services for property owners while enhancing administrative efficiency and financial sustainability for the municipal corporation.
