There will be a traffic diversion on January 1st at the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple area.

31 Dec 2022

Due to the celebration of the New Year, a large number of Pune residents flock to the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple to seek blessings. As a result, on January 1, 2023, the Pune City Police Traffic Branch issued orders to alter traffic flow on Shivaji Road. Traffic will be diverted for vehicles other than essential service vehicles such as fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, and others beginning at 5 p.m. on January 1st until the jam is cleared. As a result, the route from Pooram Chowk to Bajirao Road to Shaniwar Wada has been closed, according to DCP (Traffic). Citizens are encouraged to take the option of traveling to Alka Talkies Chowk from Tilak Road via Pooram Chowk. The road from Appa Balwant Chowk to Pasodya Vithoba Chowk will be closed; instead, citizens should take the road from Appa Balwant Chowk to Bajirao Road to the Gadgil statue and then on to their destination. The road from SG Barve Chowk to Pune Municipal Corporation and Shaniwarwada will be closed indefinitely. Citizens should instead travel to their destination via Jhansi Ki Rani Chowk via SG Barve Chowk- Jangli Maharaj Road. The road leading from the Gadgil statue to Rameshwar Chowk will be closed as well. Citizens are advised to turn left instead of the Gadgil statue; thus, they can reach their desired destination from Kumbharwada or Surya Hospital.
