The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has outlined an ambitious ₹33,700 crore master plan to transform Pune’s extended industrial belt into a model of integrated urban and industrial growth. The plan covers key hubs such as Hinjewadi, Chakan, Ranjangaon, Talegaon, and Pirangut, aiming to upgrade infrastructure, civic facilities, and connectivity across the metropolitan region. The focus is on balancing industrial expansion with residential development to ensure long-term, sustainable urban growth.
PMRDA has also announced that groundwork for projects worth ₹900 crore will begin soon, forming part of a larger vision of 208 development initiatives. A new industrial grievance redressal cell will be established with dedicated planners and officers to handle approvals and permissions faster. Regular review meetings with industrial associations like Chakan and Ranjangaon will help resolve on-ground issues efficiently. With collaboration between PMRDA, MIDC, and local councils, Pune’s industrial zones are expected to see a major transformation over the next five years.
