The Deputy Chief Minister visited Alandi and directed the municipal council to complete all pothole repairs before Kartiki Ekadashi on November 1, when thousands of warkaris travel to the temple town. He approved ₹1 crore from the Urban Development Department for immediate road repair work and instructed officials to share photographic updates after completion. The visit focused on ensuring that civic infrastructure is ready for the annual wari, a major pilgrimage that brings heavy footfall to Alandi and surrounding areas.
During the visit, the foundation stone for Bhakta Nivas, a new accommodation facility for warkaris, was also laid. Earlier this year, ₹20 crore had been sanctioned for the project to provide better facilities for devotees. In addition, several beautification works along the Indrayani ghat were launched, with a focus on keeping the river clean and free from pollution. These projects aim to improve urban amenities in Alandi and support the government’s broader efforts toward sustainable pilgrimage infrastructure.
